Flores-Lopez, Madeline Flores-Lopez Madeline

Madeline serves as the Coordinator of Mission Volunteers and Groups throughout the Caribbean. She is located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. A steadily increasing number of volunteers from the USA and Puerto Rico have been serving in the Caribbean during the past few years. Madeline will be coordinating mission volunteers in this exciting time for ministry in the Caribbean.

Her passion for missions began when Madeline attended her first World Mission Conference, in 1990. Working on God's timetable, she began to fulfill her mission call by participating in short term mission trips during her vacation time, and going to seminary. Ten years later, at the World Mission Conference in 2000, Madeline knew it was time to resign from her day job and become a full-time missionary with International Ministries.

Madeline's enthusiasm for missions is contagious. She stresses that missions are for everyone! "Any age, race, gender, color . . . you just need to have a heart" to serve.

What is the source for all of Madeline's energy and drive for missions? Perhaps her favorite scripture passage offers a clue: "Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless. Even youths will faint and be weary, and the young will fall exhausted; but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40: 28-31
