In the early 1990s, the opening of former Eastern Block countries in Europe provided numerous opportunities to help and encourage struggling churches and Christian organizations in those areas. Today, travel and communication options are changing the world into a global community. These combined factors have led to a greater interest from individuals and churches to be directly involved in ministry and mission in compelling settings all over Europe and the Middle East.

 

Nora and Pieter serve through International Ministries as missionaries based in the Czech Republic. Working with our partner convention, the European Baptist Federation (EBF), they coordinate mission volunteers throughout Europe. They match the skills and interests of volunteers from the U.S. and Puerto Rico with the needs of more than 50 member unions of the EBF. This is an important ministry in developing relationships across national boundaries and discovering more aspects of the glory of God.

 

Languages used in ministry: English, German, Spanish, Dutch and Czech.
