Kodaikanal International School (KIS) is a Christian school with an academic program that, according to Kodaikanal's mission statement, is "intentionally set within a community life based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and devoted to service in India and the whole human community."

Students at KIS come from many different backgrounds. At KIS, they receive an excellent education, experience living together in community, hear the Christian witness and participate in social service projects. Many KIS students go on to become leaders in the world community. In a country that has increasingly sought to restrict the Christian witness, the work of KIS is very valuable.

David and Betsy Perkins serve God at Kodaikanal International School, India.  David is the administrator of the elementary portion of the school and Betsy teaches health classes and is the elementary nurse.  They also participate in many activities to support the Christian mission of the school, sharing the gospel message with students in their dormitories, at youth gatherings, prayer fellowships, and on social service projects.
