Binkley, Duane and Marcia Binkley Duane and Marcia

Duane and Marcia – who have served over 15 years in Thailand through International Ministries coordinating the work of six international mission agencies and many mission partners in Thailand through the Thailand Baptist Missionary Fellowship – have been reassigned to serve in the United States and Thailand. Effective July 1, 2007, the Binkleys are working with the tens of thousands of Karen refugees from Myanmar (Burma) who are coming to the U.S., having worked with Karen refugees along the Thai-Myanmar border. The Binkleys are jointly appointed by IM and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. National Ministries (NM) and the Office of the General Secretary (OGS) of the American Baptist Churches are cooperating in this ministry. The Binkleys are working with regions and churches around the country to equip them in the refugee resettlement process and to make the Karen – who often know early Baptist mission history in Burma better than most American Baptists – feel welcomed by those who brought them the gospel nearly two centuries ago.
